A brief which asked for travel to a new and unfamiliar place, and a corresponding visual response based on the findings gathered from that location.

After blind throwing a pin at a map of the UK, I travelled to Blakeney, Norfolk. The town itself has a strong history of print making, and this informed my decision to create my own traditionally hand made outcome. I selected the four most distinctive areas of the town, and represented each in the form of a lino printed, fold out book.

The town was remote and difficult to access, with little or no phone signal. The people too, were initially reserved and the closed nature of the books, which don't show the lino print inside, represent the element of discovery that the town holds once you begin to venture in.
